The wait is almost over for the start of the new season, which will kick off on Friday 9th October 2015, at a yet to be disclosed location within the Emirate of Dubai.
Please see the documentation page for Sporting Regulations, as well as the entry form for the event:
Entries are being accepted from today (MUST be submitted to email@example.com) and will close at 12:00 on Tuesday 6th October. No entries will be accepted beyond that point. The regulations restrict entries to 120 MOTOs and 30 AUTO/BUGGYs, so I recommend that you get your entries in very quickly.
Mandatory scrutineering for all vehicles/equipment will take place in the pit garages at Dubai Autodrome on Tuesday 6th October from 18:00 to 22:00. Should you be unable to attend for any reason, you can request dispensation from me to do scrutineering on the day of the event. Once a vehicle has been scrutineered before Rd 1, it will be considered as scrutineered for the rest of the championship (providing it maintains its stickers).
All UAE based competitors must hold a competition licence from the ATCUAE/UAEMC. If you do not, you can download the relevant licence application form from the below link, and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org along with a copy of your photo, passport and visa (if not a UAE National). Remember, there is a minimum of 48 hours required to process all applications.
Any non-UAE based competitors must hold a competition licence and start permission from their own national federations.
Any competitor who has not yet reserved a competition number for the season, please see the attached document showing what numbers are still available. If you have not reserved a number before the closing date of entries, you will be assigned one for the duration of the season.
Finally, a team competition will be again run for the MOTOs and AUTOs/BUGGY, which is free to enter. All team entries must be submitted before the closing date of entries next Tuesday, and you will not be able to make any changes to your team after that point. Again, the relevant form to enter the team competition can be found on the new EDC website.
Fingers crossed for a season of safe, competitive racing!
